| What are your hours and where are you located? My hours are as necessary to accomplish what you are entrusting me to do. Currently, I work from my home kitchen on the South East Side of Chicago. How and when can I speak with you? I'm easily reachable through e-mail or phone. At this time, I'm available most hours of everyday to discuss your needs. If, however, I am not, please leave your contact information and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Do you deliver? Delivery is a possibility for an added fee. However, if you please you can pick up the cake. What can I expect to pay? That I really can't say because it's really based on an individual basis since everything is customized. I won't rob you blind but you get what you pay for. How do you determine the pricing? Pricing is a direct result of the cost of ingredients and time spent on decorating the cake or cookies. Extra fees are applied for fondant covered cakes, gum paste flowers, delivery, etc. You will be notified ahead of time for any other charges prior to delivery or pick-up. How far in advance should I contact you about placing an order? Generally, I'd say give at least a two weeks notice as certain products need to be special ordered. For fondant cakes, a three week's notice is best. Wedding cakes or Quinceañera cakes should be placed at least one month in advance. What is fondant? Fondant is a smooth and usually tasteless 'covering' over a light buttercream coating. It provides a perfectly smooth base for extensive decorating and gives cakes a flawless appearance. The consistency is similar to a marshmallow rolled thin. What kind of cupcake designs can you do? Refer to the cupcakes page under the Gallery heading. I can duplicate almost any design you may have seen elsewhere. Contact me to further discuss this option. What types of customized cookies can you make? I can make customized cookies decorated specifically for your baby shower, birthday party or holiday. Contact me to discuss your needs. |
